SACKCLOTH & ASHES

Sackcloth & Ashes uses 100% recycled, eco-friendly materials to create sustainably produced blankets deeply rooted in the natural vistas that inspired them.

When it comes to making an impact on the world around you, Bob Dalton, founder of Sackcloth & Ashes may have said it best, “If you want to make an impact on the world around, start where you’re at.” When his mother found herself living on the streets, Bob Dalton, knew that the homeless crisis in America was something he could work towards eliminating. After speaking with homeless shelters across the country and finding out they needed blankets, he founded Sackcloth  & Ashes and began making blankets. Today, for every blanket Sackcloth & Ashes sells, they donate one to a local homeless shelter.

NEW HOPE GIRLS

New Hope Girls creates gorgeous, inspirational handbags and accessories, sewn by local mothers in the Dominican Republic, that help fund their mission of empowering women through rescue, refuge and restoration.

When the horrors of abuse, neglect, and child exploitation revealed themselves once moving to the Dominican Republic, the people at New Hope Girls knew it was time to act. They quickly set up a safe house so the vulnerable children from the Dominican Republic’s most destitute barrios could find rescue and refuge from the tragedies of daily life. Once there, the children were provided with shelter, education, counseling services--everything they had been deprived of from the outside world. Today, New Hope Girls also operates a self-sustaining workshop, employed by local women in the community, that produces inspirational, hand-sewn handbags and accessories. Profits from every purchase fund both the New Hope Girls safe house and provide economic opportunities at the workshop for women in the local community.
